The dukes and duchesses of Centaur XXVI hosted a Royalty Celebration on the afternoon of Nov. 5, honoring King Centaur XXVI Eric Enkey and Queen Centaur XXVI Jennifer Hammons. Those attending the celebration were the past royalty for Centaur and current and past captains. Bob and Cathy Zahn’s home on Cross Lake was the setting for the event.

A surprise 64th Birthday Dinner celebration was held for Bobby Washington at the Robinson Film Center.

On Nov. 10, the Dixie Gin hosted an event honoring eight outstanding professionals in Shreveport- Bossier. All proceeds from the event benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to further research to find a cure for this terminal disease.

Bryce and Jermani Latin were wed at the Gardens of the American Rose Center in Shreveport on Nov. 12. The beautiful outdoor wedding had over 200 guests. The couple will honeymoon in Destin, Fla., and live in Dallas.

The Rev. Calvin Austin was keynote speaker for the Booker T. Washington Louisiana Marker Unveiling Ceremony on Nov. 5. The marker was given in part to the school because of a 1963 student protest led by Austin, a senior at the time. BTW supporters unveiled the marker as former BTW and Dallas Cowboys great Roosevelt Collins looked on. TV anchor Marquel Sennet, emcee, greeted former NFL greats Byron Williams and Collins, in town to support BTW in the annual Soul Bowl football game.
