The 2018 Northwest Louisiana Go Red For Women Luncheon was hosted at the Shreveport Convention Center on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. More than 500 people attended the annual fund-raiser for the American Heart Association, which featured guest speaker, actress Donna Hartley. The luncheon, which was chaired by Waynette Ballengee, doubled in size from last year’s attendance and raised more than $200,000. – Mark Crawford

On March 3, Riverview Hall went to the dogs for Robinson Rescue’s 9th Best In Sheaux fund-raiser. The annual live runway dog show featured more than a dozen local dogs strutting their stuff on stage. Guests were able to vote on their favorite dog. Several dogs were also up for adoption, all of whom found new homes. Dinner was catered by Fairfield Place Bed & Breakfast, and the bar featured Pink Poodle Martinis. – Mark Crawford
