Kia Optima
Meets rational and emotional needs

With sleek styling and an aggressive stance, Kia Optima takes its place on the road.
Styling, though, is just the beginning. It's also engineered to satisfy both your rational demand for great fuel economy and your emotional need to have a car that's just plain fun to drive.
A 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine delivers exceptional fuel efficiency 31 miles per gallon on the highway.
Optima is loaded with safety features. Six standard airbags are part of Optima's advanced supplement restraint system. This airbag system monitors the severity of an impact, the presence of a front passenger and seat-belt use, and then controls airbag inflation accordingly.
Electronic stability control provides improved directional stability, which helps you maintain control in difficult driving situations. ESC monitors and controls key vehicle functions brake-force pressure, the speed you're traveling and the direction of the vehicle. It then brakes individual wheels and reduces engine power accordingly to attempt to bring the vehicle back on its intended course.
The traction control system uses speed sensors on each wheel to detect tire spinning when starting out or accelerating. If spinning is detected, the engine power is reduced and/or the brakes are applied until traction returns.
The brake assist system recognizes from the force you apply to the brake pedal if an emergency stop is required and applies the required braking pressure for a controlled stop.
Front active headrests move forward and up to help reduce neck injuries to front occupants in the event of a rear-impact collision.
A tire-pressure monitoring system alerts you if one or more of your tires is under-inflated so corrective action can be taken.
Optima comes with a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty program.
