Chef Morrison returns to Abby Singer’s Bistro

Ernestine “Tootie” Morrison is back as chef at the Robinson’s beloved restaurant – Abby Singer’s Bistro. Having taken a leave six years ago to start her own private chef and catering company, Chef Tootie is on the scene and whipping up delicious dishes sure to please. “I came back because of the need for the Bistro to continue to grow and thrive,” Morrison said.

She’s been a chef for over a decade, having graduated culinary school at Bossier Parish Community College in May 2008. She loves cooking and can’t imagine doing anything else. “I love getting to meet new people and see their reaction to my food,” Morrison said.

Abby Singer’s Bistro is located in the Robinson Film Center at 617 Texas Street in Shreveport. The Bistro is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday- Friday, and for dinner from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 5-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Their current summer menu includes Morrison’s favorite new item – duck nachos – along with yummy staples such as seafood gumbo, lemon basil chicken, chicken and waffles, Cajun pasta, fish tacos, roasted Brussels sprouts, pulled pork, loaded potato crisps, eggplant Parmesan, grilled cheese, fish and chips, and more. Get your taste buds ready – with Chef Tootie in the kitchen, anything is possible!
