Stuffed animals offer comfort from grief

Natalie and Walker Boggs founded the ministry of after the loss of their son, Barrett Anthony Boggs, on Sept. 25, 2018, when he was just 4 months and 17 days old. Shortly after Barrett’s passing, the family was gifted their “Barrett bear” by a friend. Their bear has been a constant reminder to them and to their other children that Barrett is still very much a part of their lives and their story.

The organization aims to provide comfort and hope to families who have lost babies due to miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant loss.

Their prayer is that this bear, personalized in your baby’s memory, will serve as a constant reminder of Christ’s love and that each time you hold your bear, you are comforted.

Whether the bear is placed on a shelf, used in family photos or held tight in your arms, the Boggs family hopes that you will feel connected to your baby.

So many people do not know what to do for families who have lost a baby and are navigating through grief; consider sharing the comforting gift of a personalized, huggable bear. To send a bear or make a donation to the Barrett’s Bear Ministry, visit https:// givebutter.com/barrettsbears.
