Guests posed in front of a poppy field and then entered the Justinian ballroom through a hall likened to a tornado at the krewe’s event Jan. 24 at Horseshoe Casino. Once inside, large centerpieces centering around the “One Crazy, Wicked Night in Emerald City” theme were seen throughout the Riverdome. “The Wizard of Oz” movie was playing on the large screens and “flying monkeys” were on the stage. Many of the women wore emerald green gowns. Limelight Band of Dallas entertained after the presentation emceed by Marty Johnson and Jim McMichael, captain. King XX was Neil Erwin and queen was Berry Glassell. There was also a silent auction. Creative centerpieces included one made of ice, hot air balloons, Toto with basket, both witches, tornadoes, ruby slippers, Emerald City and a Wicked poster and some place settings included little brooms, Tin Man heart beads and bottles of water.
