To make sure that doesn't happen to the Sci-Port Discovery Center, Dianne Clark and her team are working to celebrate their silver anniversary by updating and refurbishing the center. Part of that plan revolves around the November fundraising event they have scheduled.

Except it didn’t make sense to Clark. “Not at all,” Clark said. “I didn’t have any idea that I would go into education. I had actually interviewed with Xerox and a couple of other companies. I really wanted to move and do the big corporate world thing in marketing – my undergraduate degree is in marketing.

“There are some things in this area that are just too important to lose.” That is how the new Sci-Port executive director, Dianne Clark, feels about the Sci-Port Discovery Center. Since joining the organization in August, Dianne has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for the re-organization and re-opening of the center.
