This year marks the 20th Annual David Rice Memorial Angel Run & Walk to benefit Holy Angels. The event, like last year, will be virtual: Run your own race, at your own pace, at your own place! The 5K (3.1 miles) can be completed anytime and anywhere between April 17-24, solo or with a group.

To kick off the 2020 United Way of Northwest Louisiana campaign season, the United From Home Virtual Fun Run & 5K taking place on June 27 encourages runners and walkers to participate in this virtual race with a purpose. Register to run or walk your individualized 5K course, join a corporate team or form a group of your own.

The two-day motorcycle rally will be held Oct. 16-17 in the Red River District in downtown Shreveport and as always, will benefit children’s health and wellness programs in the community including Cara Center, NICU and school-based health centers.

The Ark-La-Tex community has always shown great support and interest in Barksdale Air Force Base, as evidenced in hundreds of thousands of visitors who attend the Air Show and Open House every year. Now, to further foster community relations, Barksdale has opened some of their sports and recreation programs to the local community.
