Everyone knows that the body changes with time. It’s expected. Often, however, I hear from my female patients that they did not expect the changes that they’ve noticed in their urinary system, which for many, have significantly affected their lifestyle.

More than 37 million men in the United States are affected by benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). BPH is an enlarged prostate gland and occurs in almost all men as they age. BPH occurs when the prostate gland that surrounds the male urethra becomes enlarged with advancing age and begins to obstruct the urinary system.
