“Upon further research, there were a number of other plates over the years featuring a similar aesthetic, and those have become part of my initial ‘line.’” Johnson said he linked up with Definition Industries in Shreveport to assist him with the apparel.

“We’re always looking for ways to engage our audience and offer an experience for them that is more than just sitting and watching a movie,” Meghan Hochstetler, education director for the Robinson Film Center, said. “Our mission is to educate, enrich and entertain through the power of film, and this fits our mission perfectly.

This year’s Krewe of Highland parade will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 15 and is free and open to the public. The parade runs through the heart of the historic Highland neighborhood, where the architecture and openness of the diverse people who live and work there give it a distinct feel that delights visitors.
