Cork, a Red River Revel Wine Event, was a smashing success. Held at Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport, the fundraiser celebrated its 18th year. More than 90 wines were showcased, and delectable bites from local restaurants and live music filled the air as guests mixed and mingled. — Special to 318 Forum

The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier’s Designer Bag Bingo returned on March 28 to Sam’s Town Hotel and Casino. Designer Bag Bingo pairs the game with designer handbags as a prize. The R. W. Norton Art Gallery hosted an opening party for their 8th annual BLOOM! Art Exhibit on Thursday, March 28. More than 600 people attended the event, which featured more than two dozen art pieces on display. Haley Brooke provided live entertainment. United Way of Northwest Louisiana and area businesses celebrated the $1.9 million raised for Northwest Louisiana programs on March 7 at the organization’s annual event, Tails and Ales: A Celebration of Impact. The event occurred at Margaritaville Resort Casino Bossier City in its Paradise Theater, where attendees enjoyed a seafood boil and live music by Professor Porkchop and the Dirty Dishes. — Special to 318 Forum
