The Better Business Bureau recently announced its 2019 Torch Award winners. The awards honor companies that meet the highest standards of ethics and demonstrate trust among their employees, customers and the community. The company leaders also must demonstrate a high level of personal character.

With hundreds of jobs at stake along with a large portion of the community’s wealth nestled in the hands of a major employer, it can be terrifying to think of the adverse effects of losing a long-standing business within a small community.
