(Archives 2010)

THE CLASS OF 2010Kendra Feazel Meiki always wanted to be a ballerina; now, she is producing them. Having once studied at the Royal Academy of Dance in London, Meiki serves as the artistic director for the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet and the mentor and teaching supervisor to the Royal Academy of Dance. She is also the owner and director of Shreveport Dance Academy and was a principal dancer from 1995-2000 for the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet. She is a member of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier and served as chairperson of “Kids in the Kitchen” for the Red River Revel, which served more than 7,000 fourth-graders. Within the next 10 years, Meiki hopes to expand the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet to include professional dancers. She believes her strong organizational skills are a true asset to her job and feels blessed to have the wonderful career she has. – Betsy St. Amant, 2010
