New restaurant not just another “Mexican joint”

According to businessman, entrepreneur and enthusiastic cheerleader John Dudley, there is something new under the sun. It’s a new restaurant opening in early May in Bossier City.

Called The III Amigos, besides a regionally unique menu created by a unique chef, the establishment will boast some unique entertainment opportunities.

“We have a Latino chef that’s going to create a menu that’s really different than anything that’s going on right now in our area,” Dudley said. “Her signature dish is a burrito taco that’s dynamite.” She also whips up a chicken dish made with pasta and jalapeno sauce. “It’s totally different than a ‘Mexican joint,’” he said, adding, “It is totally different from anything we’re used to as Tex- Mex in this area.”

will open May 5 on the Louisiana Boardwalk at 4 p.m. After that, the restaurant will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on the weekends.

Featured on May 5 will be The Crowd, live from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. They are a foursome whose repertoire includes country and rock.

Dudley said live music will be on tap every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

But the truly different feature may be the mechanical bull the club will feature.

And it’s not just a spin you around, throw you off challenge for the urban cowboy, Dudley said. “Not only will visitors be able to experience the thrill of being John Travolta, but their friends can participate from wherever they are.

“That bull will be live streamed. It will be able to have a social interface where people can comment or predict/wager how long somebody is going to ride the bull using a digital currency.”

The high-techiness for eshadows Dudley’s next venture, a $22 million golf/entertainment venue. He’ll be bench-testing some innovative technology in the restaurant before introducing it to his new facility.

“I’ve partnered with a technology company to be able to layer over-top of everything that we do that is streamed or captured via video. It’s really neat, fun times for me right now.”
