Prettyman Promoted to Senior Position at Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana

Cordish Gaming Group, The Cordish Companies’ gaming division, announces the Live! Casino promotion of executive Bryan M. Prettyman to senior vice president of property operations for the highly anticipated Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. This $270+ million world-class gaming, dining, hotel and entertainment destination is set to open in Bossier City in the first quarter of 2025.

Prettyman will develop and implement operational strategies and initiatives in his new capacity. His responsibilities include all non-gaming resort operations, including hotel, food and beverage, security, EVS and facility management.

With over 36 years of experience, Prettyman has held leadership positions at prominent properties across New Jersey, Mississippi, California, Illinois, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Louisiana. He most recently served as vice president of slots and marketing for Live! Casino Pittsburgh.

Prettyman has received dozens of prestigious awards including honors from the American Gaming Association, the G2E’s 2005 Conference for “Best Television Campaign” for a casino property, as well as the national “Best Ad Campaign” award in 2011.

Chaser Appointed Executive Vice President and General Manager

Gaming industry veteran John J. Chaszar has been appointed executive vice president and general manager of the new Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. Chaszar will manage the development, grand opening and day-to-day operations of the first land-based casino property in the Shreveport-Bossier market.

With over 30 years of gaming and resort operations experience, Chaszar has held leadership positions with several notable entertainment and hotel companies in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Missouri, Kansas, Indiana, Colorado, Illinois and South Carolina.

He most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of Tropicana Casino in Evansville, Ind. He spent more than a decade with Penn Entertainment as vice president and general manager at several of its properties including Hollywood Casino in Baton Rouge, La., and Hollywood Casino Resort in Bay St. Louis, Miss. He also spent over 13 years with Quorum Hotels & Resorts.

Robinson Named VP of Marketing for Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana

Joshua Robinson has been named vice president of marketing for the new Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. Robinson will spearhead the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities include providing leadership for the marketing department’s daily operations, overseeing all facets of marketing programs, loyalty initiatives, creative strategies, traditional and social media campaigns, advertising, sponsorships, special events, promotions, entertainment offerings, guest services, player development and group sales.

A native of Louisiana and a respected leader in casino marketing and operations, he brings a wealth of experience from prominent roles at key Louisiana properties, including the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Lake Charles, L’Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles and Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City.

Robinson has been recognized as a rising star and featured on prestigious professional watch lists, including Young Professional Initiatives 40 under Forty and Southwest Louisiana 13 Thriving 30 Somethings. He is actively involved in community service.

When opened, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will offer a first-class gaming and entertainment experience featuring more than 47,000 square feet of gaming space, including 1,000+ slots and electronic table games and 40+ live action table games; a sportsbook; an upscale 550-room hotel, resort pool and fitness center; a 25,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art, multi-purpose Event Center for top name entertainment, meetings, conventions and social gatherings; 30,000 square feet of best-in-class dining entertainment venues including multiple new food and beverage outlets featuring nationally acclaimed concepts Sports & Social and PBR Cowboy Bar; and more.

The project is expected to generate $35 million in gaming tax revenues for the city of Bossier and more than $168 million in gaming tax revenues for the state of Louisiana within the first five years of operation. Annually, it will generate $34 million in salaries, wages and tips, create approximately 750 new construction jobs and approximately 750 permanent gaming and hospitality jobs for local and regional residents.

The development is currently under construction on the site of the former Diamond Jacks Casino & Hotel in Bossier City. Located along the scenic Red River and directly across from Shreveport, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana has convenient access to U.S. Highway 71 and Interstate 20 and is approximately 20 miles from the Texas border and 40 miles from the Arkansas border.
