The Hangar to offer something for everyone
The location of The Garage in Bossier’s East Bank Entertainment District is transitioning into a new entity.
Jason Bogard and his partners, Brandon Nelson and Roy Murray, are christening a brand-new venture known as the Hangar.
“We came up with the idea of The Hangar, and obviously, we’re paying (tribute) to the base, the shape of the building and the proximity to Barksdale Air Force Base.
“We made some significant changes. We’re going to create a little bit of a different atmosphere that will bring people every day of the week, not just on weekends.”
Bogard, who is the managing partner of the new venture, said in addition to good food and good drinks, “We’re going to bring in some things like trivia night, karaoke night, we’ve got the movie night planned for the middle of the week outside. Bring your own chairs, kick it back on the turf and watch movies. We have a 10-beer brewery in the back. Inside, we’ll have dining space to seat about 180 patrons and our outdoor area for additional dining. We’ll also have outdoor games like cornhole; we’ll have a 25-foot-tall movie screen out there for movie night. We still have our stage on the inside, so we’ll be doing live music on the weekends.”

Bogard said the music will be a mix of R&B, soul, classic rock and country. “My goal is to create a diverse atmosphere,” he explained.
“We appeal to people who want to come out and shoot some pool, have a few drinks with buddies, and we have the outdoor patio if you want to come out and play a little cornhole. I think we’re kind of offering something for everybody.
“We’re going to be serving American cuisine, but we’ll also have dishes that will pay tribute to the state of Louisiana. We’ll have a few signature drinks that other establishments won’t offer.”
