Women business professionals today are vastly different from just a few years ago, and they are ever evolving and adapting. Empowered with knowledge, opportunity and sheer determination, they press forward in their endeavors and meet challenges headon. To quote the late Gov. Anne Richards of Texas:

“Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did. She just did it backwards and in high heels.” The heels may not be necessary, but being energetic and innovative is essential.

It is no wonder that today, more women are in leadership positions than at any time in this country’s history and hold 51% of all management and professional positions. Women have been starting and growing businesses faster than men for over two decades now.

Women today must define themselves while recognizing that their personal definition of success may differ from the traditional ones. They are valuebased, team-motivated and are open to new ideas, inclusiveness, diversity and inspiring others. It takes courage and vision to act upon these values. They learn to trust their instincts and set high goals. When they achieve these goals, they raise the bar higher.

The women and companies on these pages embody these qualities and are ready to share their empowerment with others.
