QuaranTime
Exhibition at artspace shares professional artists works inspired by or created during the quarantine
Northwest Louisiana Juried Roster Artists are artists working in a consistent manner to produce, distribute and receive recognition for outstanding work. NWLA Roster Artists meet monthly to develop Regional Arts Policy, learn about upcoming calls and commissions, and share personal progress. SRAC works to help artists who expect to be considered “professional” to earn at least 30% of their household income from the production and distribution of their art. There is an annual jury process for artists to receive NWLA Roster Status, and once awarded the title, artists remain a roster artist for five years.
The QuaranTime exhibition runs through Sept. 26 at artspace (801 Crockett St.) in downtown Shreveport. An online gallery will also be available. SRAC will also award a $500 People’s Choice Award in Visual, Literary and Performance. Audience members may vote once a day during the exhibition.
