He will don rose-colored glasses when he does the song near the show’s end. Glasses are sold at the concession table. “Thousands are floating around,” he said. He has a new shirt with his hit songs, and all hits are available – along with new music – on a USB drive.

Barbara Jones Maher’s poem, “Special Delivery from Heaven,” was famous in 1963 and is still found on eBay. It was one of my own mother’s treasures, and inspired me to seek its author. It has been translated into 10 languages and made into a recording. People from all over the world (Europe and Asia) sent Barbara letters when they read it.

The national salute will be held in the David and Sandy Long “Never Forget” garden. These gardens are a project of the Society of the Honor Guard, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. David is a Navy veteran who manned nuclear submarines as an engineer during the Cold War.

A pen custom made by a South Broadmoor man may be something to consider. Richard Huber has started making pens out of his home. A semiretired accountant, he began the hobby when his son gave him materials to make a custom pen for his birthday. He enjoyed doing so, using African padauk.
