On June 19, The Cross Lake Floatilla will celebrate its official 30th year starting at 11 a.m., and the headquarters this year will be the American Legion Lowe McFarlane Post at 5315 South Lakeshore Drive on the lake. According to Floatilla spokeswoman Kim French, the event is held on the Saturday before Father’s Day each year.

It’s impossible for me to speak about every work I viewed; however, here are some highlights from the show. I enjoyed the pop surrealist piece “Eden” by Erica Branch. I was impressed with its whimsy and the irresistible owl perched above the main character.

The study analyzes the 2018 and 2019 economic impacts of BRF and its associated entities in the Shreveport-Bossier metropolitan statistical area (MSA), which includes Caddo, Bossier, DeSoto and Webster parishes.
