Wow! It is hard to believe Forum has been around for 30 years. When we began in 1988, fax machines were the latest business tool and at that time revolutionary. The devices are now relatively obsolete. We started out doing paste-up, shooting film and driving photos and layouts to our printer in Alexandria.

Sam Fashho has been in the clothing and fashion industry – the rag trade – for most of his life. Clothes have given him a life, helped him raise his family, enabled him to own multiple businesses. Prior to the oil collapse of the 1980s that turned everything around, he owned five clothing stores on Texas Street.

As the Evergreen House, the organization offered temporary shelter services for homeless families. In 1992, it was re-named the Providence House and shifted its mission to cycling families out of homelessness by providing long-term, sustainable solutions to socio-economic problems the residents experience.
