Let’s change mindsets and make hearing care a reality for all

Over the years, PA Day morphed into an entire week of events and articles celebrating PAs and their chosen profession. PA stands for “physician assistant” or “physician associate,” depending on where you look.

For almost 100 years, Willis-Knighton has been responding to the health care needs of the local community. But that commitment extends beyond health care. A commitment to its neighbors – especially underserved, minority neighborhoods – is evident.

Ghali is a renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeon with the Willis-Knighton Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Institute. He recently visited Chimp Haven in Keithville, the world’s largest chimpanzee sanctuary, to perform surgery on Sparky, a 34-year-old male chimpanzee.

I’m always going to be respectful of them. Everything I know came from that place. From the Giacalone family, that’s where I learned everything. Putting my hands in the kitchen on the food, on the ingredients, that’s where I learned everything. I love Italy like I love Mexico (Chef Andrade’s native country), and I love the United States.
