• Dr. Phillip Rozeman was inducted as the 2016 Chairman of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce on Jan. 28 during the 106th annual meeting at East Ridge Country Club. Rozeman is founder of the Alliance for Education, Shreveport-Bossier Business Alliance for HigherEducation and Cardiovascular Consultants and serves on the board of the Willis-Knighton Health System, Step Forward, LSUS and BPCC foundations and the Strategic Action Council. On a statewide level, he is the outgoing chairman of Blueprint Louisiana and the founder of Education’s Next Horizon. He serves on the boards of CABL, LABI, Louisiana Committee of 100 and the Public Affairs Research Council.Over the last two decades, Rozeman has been honored as the Business Leader of the Year by the Shreveport and Minden Chambers of Commerce. He has been recognized with the annual community service awards of the Northwest Louisiana and Acadiana United Way, Louisiana State Medical Society, LSU-S, Shreveport Bar Association and Louisiana Association of Educators. The 2016 Executive Committee of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce includes outgoing chairman Robert Dean of Heard McElroy & Vestal; Don Olson of Hunt, Guillot & Associates; John Coutret of BancorpSouth; Paul Pratt of Chesapeake Energy Corporation; Mark Evans of Regions Bank; Lyle Jeansonne of Citizens National Bank; Zazell Dudley of North Louisiana Economic Partnership; and Richard H. (Dick) Bremer, president of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.

• The board of directors of Cross Keys Bank along with CEO Michael Vizard announced chief credit officer, Shane Bridges has been appointed as the ninth president to serve in the bank’s 114-year history. With the appointment of Bridges as president, the position of CEO and president has been separated. Vizard served as president and CEO from 2005-15. His role will continue as CEO and as the newly elected chairman of the board. He was also named vice chairman of the bank’s holding company, BSJ Bancshares Inc. Rebecca Vizard has been elected as chairman, and Ben Watson will continue to serve as BSJ Bancshares Inc. president. Vizard will be responsible for the overall management of the bank in attaining its earnings goals while serving the best interest of the bank’s customers, community and employees. As chairman of Cross Keys Bank, his responsibilities include presiding over the bank board meetings and reporting to the board of the bank’s holding company. Bridges joined Cross Keys Bank in 2002 as senior vice president to serve as a commercial loan officer to supervise the Rayville and Tallulah branches, as well as the investment and mortgage departments. In 2009, he was promoted to executive vice president/chief credit officer and began serving on the bank’s board of directors.

• The Remington Suite Hotel and Spa announced Emerie Eck Gentry as the new director of marketing. In her role, Gentry will oversee all marketing resources and business development initiatives. Her public relations, business development and marketing background covers a broad spectrum from employment and education to property management. Her community involvement has given her experience in leadership, public speaking and event planning within government and nonprofit organizations.
