On Nov. 5, Margaritavile Casino Resort, 318 Forum and the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce hosted a cover unveiling party of the 40 Under Forty issue of 318 Forum at Jimmy’s Seafood and Steak at Margaritaville Casino. This year’s honorees were on hand for the unveiling along with many friends and family. The cover featured each of the 40 people in this year’s class. – Mark Crawford

“We Back the Badge” Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was held Oct. 9 at Ranchland. Area police, fire and sheriff’s units were honored. Meatball subs prepared by Chef Ernest Palmisano were served. There were many door prizes. The Mudbugs gave away T-shirts, and V Cross Jewelers had a table with the durable silicone wedding bands that first responders have begun using. Free State Fair and rodeo tickets were available, and Red River Bank had an ice cream truck. St. Michael medals were also given out. – Mary Ann Van Osdell
