Guests entered on a red carpet on July 20 for the Salvation Army Northwest Louisiana Silver Bell Soiree at the Summit of Bossier City. A silent auction included jewelry, vehicle detailing, vintage sunglasses, a suite at a Mudbugs game and a mystery bag. Robin Merkle was honored with the William Booth Award. Holly Rowe’s message at the 14th Annual Independence Bowl Dinner was to “make the big time where you are.” The ESPN commentator said she saw her first game at 5, and she only knows about Shreveport because of the bowl.
