The voting public has confirmed what you can see just about any time of day: Gibbons Fine Grill is very popular. “The entire staff is honored that the community enjoys our food, atmosphere and service,” said co-owner Dana Weiland. “It’s rewarding to be honored and encourages us to continue to work hard for those supporting Gibbons Fine Grill.”
Gibbons has been open for six years, and its customers obviously enjoy the restaurant’s offerings, which aren’t limited to entrees.
“Appetizers are fun to share!” Weiland said. “We want our guests to have the opportunity to taste, share and enjoy food together. Appetizers are a great way to create communion at the table.” Gibbons’ showing in the “Best of 318” voting parallels what the restaurant hopes to achieve. “Our goal is to provide fresh food in a polished atmosphere, served by a kind and caring staff. Named for the late singer Jimmy Buffet, Jimmy’s has been meeting the public’s appetite for delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere for 11 years.

Almost seven years ago, Fat Calf was a food truck with a cult following. Fat Calf Brasserie is now a brick-and-mortar restaurant that — as proven by the “Best of 318” results — is a favorite of the general public.
“It means everything,” co-owner Amanda Felan said of Fat Calf’s recognition. “It’s an honor. We are humbled to have the support we get. Day in and day out, we have customers who have been here time after time and continue to come back. We have new people coming in. ... Our customers are the ones who keep us going – and keep us wanting to do this. Our customers really do love Fat Calf. It’s a special place.”
The online voting results confirm what Fat Calf tries to provide.
“A laid back, but upscale and very personal experience. We want to be fine dining, but we don’t want to be fancy. We want to be the neighborhood establishment where you can get really good food and really high-end service.”
The voters also took notice of Fat Calf’s catering services.
“We provide very unique menus. We do things that a lot of people in town don’t do on a catering menu. “But it goes back to service – that level of service – and the relationships.”
