Shreveport-Bossier’s returns, March 15-20

318 Restaurant Week is a project of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau to promote local dining opportunities with $10 lunch specials and $20 dinner specials, as well as ticketed dining experiences.

318 Restaurant Week, a week-long culinary project of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau, will return March 15-20. This event consists of six days of deals at Shreveport-Bossier eateries, offering dining patrons $10 lunch specials, $20 dinner specials, and various dining experiences at participating restaurants. Visit www.318RestaurantWeek.com to view a full list of meals and events.

This year, dining patrons can download a free 318 Restaurant Week app in the Apple App Store or on Google Play to receive instant updates on the event. Additionally, there is a new, human-size art installation stationed in the East Bank District and Plaza in Bossier City. It’s designed for people to be the ‘1’ in 318. Locals and visitors are encouraged to take their picture and post to their social channels using #Eat318 in the caption to honor 318 Restaurant Week.

“318 Restaurant Week has been a successful and highly anticipated event for the past four years,” said Stacy Brown, president of the Tourist Bureau. “The past year has caused much uncertainty and financial strain to the restaurant industry. It has challenged our local restaurants to restructure the way they serve our community. As we look forward to feeding ‘the 318’ for the fifth year, we want chefs, restaurateurs, locals and visitors to know that our culinary scene is the bread and butter of resilience and excellence.”

Last year’s 318 Restaurant Week was interrupted by the government shutdown to slow the tide of the pandemic. But this year, contributors are revving up for a successful week of discounted meals at local restaurants, including Red River Brewpub, Bon Asian Café, Louisiana Smoke House, Lowder Baking Company, The Chocolate Pineapple, and more. A few exclusive dining experiences include a four-course flight at Flying Heart Brewing and Pub, Top of the City Dining Experience at Petroleum Club, Ides of March Rum Dinner at Noble Savage Tavern and more. These ticketed culinary experiences often sell out, so early purchasing is heavily encouraged. Visit www.318RestaurantWeek.com to check ticket availability.

“There’s never been a more critical time for our community to support restaurants hit by COVID-19 and Winter Storm Uri than during 318 Restaurant Week,” said Brandy Evans, vice president of communications at the Tourist Bureau. “March 15-20 is the best week for foodies to discover their new favorite dish while supporting homegrown restaurants.”

The 318 Restaurant Week app, website, Facebook and Instagram will be the primary channels for updates and information. 318 Restaurant Week would be impossible without local sponsors: ANECA Federal Credit Union, LSU Health Shreveport, KSLA News 12, 101.1 KRMD, 99.7 KMJJ, Q97.3, Glow Alchemy Kitchen and Colossal Cove.
