THROUGH MARCH 31: BOSSIER ARTS COUNCIL. East Bank Gallery will host the artworks of Cathy Cobb. Cathy, a Shreveport used-acrylic painter and muralist, has been featured at R. W. Norton, Louisiana State Exhibit Museum, ArtSpace, as well as many other local galleries. As an artist with a disability, her work has been featured for two consecutive years in the internationally juried Art Ability exhibition in Bryn Mawr, Pa., and she was selected by the Community Foundation of NWLA for the 2019 G. APRIL 16-18: SPRING AWAKENING. Stage Center’s 10th anniversary season kicks off when tickets go on sale March 29 for "Spring Awakening," the winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical. This rock musical is directed by SC Artistic Director Jared Watson, with choreography by Zhailon Levingston, who is on hiatus from Broadway’s Tina Turner musical, and musical direction by Seth Taylor. APRIL 30 THROUGH MAY 2: DISNEY’S, THE LITTLE MERMAID JUNIOR EDITION. Stage Center @HOME continues when tickets go on sale April 12 for the first School of Performing Arts production in the 10th Anniversary Season, Disney’s "The Little Mermaid" (junior edition). The journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends was captured on sound stages over 10 weeks and will be streamed to your favorite device. MARCH 12-21: SHREVEPORT SYMPHONY. Upcoming digital concerts feature violinist Alexander Kerr, Broadway star Craig Schulman, soprano Janani Sridhar and pianist Alon Goldstein. Masterworks to be performed by SSO musicians include a reduced version of Mahler’s Symphony No. 4, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3, Copland’s "Appalachian Spring" and Beethoven’s “Emperor” Piano Concerto.
