Sci-Port Discovery Center, a major regional attraction closed since the "stay at home" ruling in early March, will be tentatively reopening on June 5. This reopening will include the new 12,000-square-feet Gallery of Intrigue, and will also celebrate the return of six popular hands-on science displays after an extensive refurbishing.

A snowy extravaganza is blowing into town! From now through Jan. 30, 2020, the first floor of Sci-Port Discovery Center will be converted into a winter wonderland. For 10 weeks, this winter-themed interactive exhibit named Sno-Port will showcase the wonders and science of snow for locals of all ages.

“There are some things in this area that are just too important to lose.” That is how the new Sci-Port executive director, Dianne Clark, feels about the Sci-Port Discovery Center. Since joining the organization in August, Dianne has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for the re-organization and re-opening of the center.

Sci-Port is not closing. You may have seen reports about our recent audit. Sci-Port struggles as many nonprofits do, and a depleted economy does not help. We rely heavily on grant funding and donations to function.
