Semmie Buffin went to work for KSLA TV in 1974. In those days, the local CBS affiliate was locally owned by the people who had shepherded it onto the air in the early 1950s. Fast forward 46 years, and many things about the station were vastly different, but one thing remained constant: Semmie Buffin.

Bravo!: In July, the Shreveport Little Theatre hosted its 14th annual Bravo! Awards with more than 100 people on hand. Awards like Best Mainstage Production went to “The Addams Family,” Best Actor in a Featured Role went to Sloan Folmer and Best Actress in a Featured Role went to Debbie Posey. Ernest’s Orleans Restaurant provided the delicious dinner for the event.
