Lupus can be classified into two main types: Systemic lupus and skin lupus. Systemic lupus can affect any organ system in the body. On the other hand, skin lupus, or discoid lupus, mainly affects the skin without internal organ inflammation. This can present as a rash on the face or hair loss.

Artworks, exhibited together, are in dialogue with each other, and a group exhibition, curated or not, can easily become a shouting match, a conversation that can prove resistant to the detective work that critics love to do – discovering themes and constructing meaning.

Those of us who grew up here understand firsthand the uniqueness of our tremendous community. We competed on the football field at A.C. Steere Park, developed lifelong friendships at the Boy Scout hut in Betty Virginia Park, learned to ski on Cross Lake, and learned about rivalries on Friday nights in the fall at Lee Hedges Stadium.
