THROUGH MAY 14: BLOOM! This spring an explosion of color rocks the Norton both inside and out. Just as the botanical gardens burst forth with blossoms, BLOOM! bestows canvases crowded with pigmented peels all along the Norton Wing Corridor. It all began with an invitation of submissions on a floral theme from regional artists for a juried competition. THROUGH MAY 14: BOTANICAL BOUNTY: THE POWER OF FLOWERS, In association with Bloom! Festival, lithographs by renowned botanical artist Maryrose Wampler will be featured along with some old favorites from the permanent collection on canvas and in porcelain and glass, including Peter Ellenshaw’s rendition of Claude Monet’s fabulous garden at Giverny and a 19th century still-life by Severin Roesen inspired by the Dutch Old Masters.
