Line Avenue Landmark Is As Popular As Ever

What we tried:

The Bullfighter – If it’s one thing they’re known for, it’s their margaritas. But one variety you might not know of is the Bullfighter: Take an original Superior margarita, add in some blueberry Red Bull, and you have yourself a very tasty and energizing beverage. Ask for Esteban if you’re sitting at the bar. You’ll be glad you did.

Queso – You can’t dine here and not get the queso. It’s some of the best in town, and you can make it even better by adding ground beef and jalapenos.

Mesquite-Grilled Hamburger – You’re probably thinking what I always thought every time I saw one go out to a table: Who gets a burger at a Mexican restaurant? I’m now one of those people. The burger was so flavorful with a slightly smoky flavor that I really enjoyed. The fries were nice and crispy, too. There’s something to be said about dipping your fries in some house dressing.

Enchiladas – We had one ground beef and one cheese enchilada, which are always delicious, but they have multiple other enchilada offerings, like crawfish, chicken, pork and even a vegetable option. I should probably try that one next time.

Heath Bar Pie – Oreo crust. Vanilla ice cream. Chocolate ice cream. Lots and lots of Heath Bar crumbles. Chocolate sauce. Perfection.

Margarita Key Lime Pie – It’s your traditional key lime pie, with a kick! Probably the best I’ve had.

Next Visit:

Brisket Tacos. Anyone can do ground beef tacos, but not everyone can do brisket, and I’m willing to bet theirs are outstanding.

Taco Salad – Similar to watching those burgers go by, for years I’ve seen the giant taco salad shells zoom by, piled high with all the ingredients of what I’m sure is superb.

Vibe:

Exciting and vibrant dining option with some of the best live music around. The patio is like nowhere else in town. If you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday night, get there early or you’ll be waiting.
