You don’t go to Frank’s Pizza for a meal, you go to Frank’s for a total dining experience.

Before I talk about the food, let’s talk about our server, Horia Hebert. Ask for her. If there’s a wait to sit in her section, grab a craft cocktail from the bar and chill. She’s there on Monday and Tuesday evenings and lunch most days. Not only can she tell you about every item on the menu, her sparkling personality and genuine care for our happiness with our food is unparalleled. Voila!

What we tried:

Afternoon Delight – This Ron Burgundyesque cocktail features Cooper Craft Kentucky Straight Bourbon, pineapple juice and caramel syrup, shaken vigorously with ice, strained in a coupe with a dash of Peychaud’s & Angostura bitters swirled into the foamy top.

Rosemarino – Made with your choice of vodka or gin, sliced cucumber, rosemaryinfused simple syrup, freshly squeezed juice, garnished with a sprig of fresh rosemary. A very cool and refreshing cocktail for what will likely be a very warm summer.

Spiedini – Skewers of house-made mozzarella, wrapped with pepperoni and roasted in their wood-burning oven. If you like cheese (I do) and pepperoni (I like that, too), then you’ll love this. My favorite appetizer on the menu!

Salumi E Formaggi Misti – a sampling of Italian cured meats & Italian cheeses with olives, focaccia and various other goodies. You never know what they might throw on this platter, but you can bet it’s tasty. Plan on sharing with your friends because there is a lot of food here.

Cacio E Pepe Linguini – Roman pasta served with black pepper, Pecorino-Romano, wilted arugula and crispy prosciutto. This pasta is so rich and flavorful. A must-order on your next visit.

Wood-fired 8 oz. Filet of Beef Tenderloin – served with sun-dried tomato aioli, crispy muffaletta arancini and fried Brussels sprouts with Worcestershire vinaigrette. If you don’t love Brussels sprouts, try a side of their incredible risotto. How was the steak? Fantastic. I’m usually one of those that needs Béarnaise sauce for my steak. Not this time. The sun-dried tomato aioli paired perfectly with the beef. (Dinner only.)

Lala De Tooti – warm snickerdoodle blondie sundae with sweetened whipped goat cheese, vanilla bean gelato, caramel and crushed pistachios. I’ve tried all six of the regular dessert menu options, and this one is my favorite.

Next Visit: I’ve been to Frank’s numerous times, but this was the first time I didn’t get a pizza, and I love their pizza.

Vibe: A great place for lunch, happy hour on one of the two patios, dinner with the family or a date night.

Prices: Appetizers start at $6 Salads start at $8 Pizzas start at $8 Entrees start at $14 Desserts start at $3
