Heard, McElroy & Vestal, LLC, announces the promotions of Nicholas C. Courville, Christopher W. Solomon and Jerrod L. Tinsley to partner positions

Nicholas (Nick) C. Courville, CPA, began his career at Heard, McElroy & Vestal in 2011.

A graduate of Northwestern State University, he earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting. Nick has a strong background in audit and assurance services, assisting a wide range of companies in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Oklahoma.

Courville is active in both professional and community organizations, currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA), the Ark-La-Tex Ambassadors Club and the Holy Angels’ Champions Advisory Committee. Nick is a past Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce 40 Under Forty honoree as well as a past participant in the Greater Shreveport Chamber Leadership Program and the Louisiana Association of Not-for-Profit

Organizations (LANO) Community Leaders Program.

Christopher (Chris) W. Solomon, CPA joined Heard, McElroy & Vestal in June 2008 after working in the banking industry for two years. He graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport with a Bachelor of Science in financial analysis. Chris often works with the audit department as a key member of the entertainment, digital media and film audit team reviewing and performing agreed upon procedures in accordance with Louisiana Economic Development (LED) requirements. He works with all state tax incentives offered by LED, specifically enterprise zone, industrial tax exemption, quality jobs and angel investor tax credits, among many others.

Solomon is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants. In the community, he serves as treasurer of the Dream Hunt Foundation and volunteers with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Chris is a past participant in the Greater Shreveport Chamber Leadership Program.

Jerrod L. Tinsley, CPA, began working at Heard, McElroy & Vestal in 2006. He is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting, as well as a Master of Accountancy. Jerrod has audit and accounting experience working with various not-for-profit and governmental clients, including numerous foundations and religious organizations. Additionally, Jerrod is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) skilled in assisting clients in detecting improper or illegal financial situations and establishing a system for future fraud prevention.

Tinsley maintains his membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants. Active in the Shreveport-Bossier community, he has participated in the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations (LANO) Community Leaders Program, was named to the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce’s 40 Under 40 and has participated in the Greater Shreveport Chamber Leadership Program.
