OCTOBER 17: SBC ZOMBIE WALK 2020 (formerly known as the Shreveport Zombie Walk) has been on a mission to raise two things: awareness of the hunger issues in our area and non-perishable food for the Food Bank of NWLA. The theme this year is "Park Your Parts." The Zombie Walk gives attendees a fun, unique experience involving the spirit of community involvement and the pop culture phenomenon known as the “Walking Dead” – aka zombies. This family-friendly event charges no admission, and only asks that attendees come dressed in their finest zombie garb, bearing donations of non-perishable food items and maybe a few bucks to donate to whichever charity of organization of your choice. School will host three different races (10K/5K/Fun Run), and every
participant will be rewarded with delicious pie at the finish line. 10K

THROUGH OCTOBER 31: SHREVEPORT AQUARIUM will offer a haunted pirate adventure with chills, thrills and, of course, gills with its month-long Halloween celebration. This event is appropriate for kids of all ages during the day before 5 p.m., and a scarier “After Dark” version will be available on weekends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for ages 12+. A giant kraken will greet at the entrance, and the inside will be transformed into a pirate ship with 3D shipwrecks, silhouettes, pirate skeletons, fog, obstacles, glowing eyes and so much more.
