THROUGH FEB. 11: GOLDEN LENS: This exhibition highlights select photographers that submitted to the Golden Lens competition open during the two weeks of Prize Fest in 2022. The competition was a collaborative effort between Bossier Parish Community College Foundation and Prize Foundation for photographers to submit works made in Caddo and Bossier Parish celebrating North Louisiana. A panel of professional photographers specializing in commercial and fine art selected a collection of images to be shown in the public exhibition. THROUGH MARCH 5: WINTER/SPRING 2023 EXHIBITION: The R. W. Norton Art Gallery presents the Hoover Watercolor Society 65th Annual Winter/Spring Exhibition. THROUGH MARCH 30: “THE ORDER OF THINGS”: Jennifer Robison’s investigation into perception and societal roles. Influenced by research in structural color and entomology, this work uses iridescence as a metaphor for how each person may perceive their surroundings. Every person has a unique belief system, usually revolving around personal values. Personal values become structured by the culture the individual is raised in or adopts at some point in life. THROUGH APRIL 8: ELLEN SOFFER-PINK SKY: There is a unique intensity of color and an awareness of form throughout her newest works. Experience more than 60 new works by Soffer in the exhibition, “ellen soffer: pink sky,” The exhibition is presented by the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) at artspace at 708 Texas St., Shreveport.

THROUGH MAY 8: “LIFE THROUGH MY LENS”: This captivating exhibit is by student artist Rahel Aksam and are on display in BPCC’s Learning Commons Library inside the John R. FEB. 24-25: BLOOD AT THE ROOT: Presented by Grambling alumni and a extension of Excellence Performing Arts. “A striking new ensemble drama based on the Jena Six; six Black students who were initially charged with attempted murder for a school fight after being provoked with nooses hanging from a tree on campus. This bold new play by Dominique Morisseau examines the miscarriage of justice, racial double standards and the crises in relations between men and women of all classes and, as a result, the shattering state of Black family life."
