March of Dimes’ annual gathering of the area’s top culinary talent of Signature Chefs was held Nov. 1 at the Horseshoe Riverdome. The event recognized Dr. Joseph Bocchini as the Person of the Year. There was a live and silent auction as well. Bret Michaels put on a loud, rockin’ concert at DiamondJacks Nov. 11 that rocked the auditorium. He had a meet-and-greet before the show, and as a winner of Celebrity Apprentice, said he has spoken to President- Elect Donald Trump and that he was humbled to serve.

Loyola College Preparatory School celebrated their 64th Annual Style Show on Nov. 9. A soundtrack of road tunes played to the theme of “Snoopy Takes a Road Trip,” while models strutted and turned on the catwalk and parents, alumni and fellow students cheered them on. Always a major fundraising event, auction items included a stay at The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, a one-week stay on Florida’s Gulf Coast and tickets to sports events and other goodies.
