The Krewe of Highland hosted their 25th Mardi Gras Bal at the former Sutton Children’s Hospital in the lobby and on the front lawn. Hundreds of people packed the hallways and tent to watch the tableau of royalty be presented. Marilynn’s Place provided the food, and live entertainment was provided by Tipsy the Band and Junior the 3rd. – Mark Crawford

The Louisiana Association for the Blind hosted a one-of-a-kind event at the Bossier Art Council called “Art in the Dark.” Guests were given blindfolds and led into the event space, where they were given an assignment to make an art project, all while not being able to see what they were doing. Guests were able to keep their artwork once finished. Flying Heart Brewing provided tasty snacks. – Mark Crawford

Shriners Hospitals for Children - Shreveport hosted their annual fundraising gala at ElDorado Resort Casino and Hotel. The event featured former Shriners patient Austin Oliver, and awards were given to Webb Professional Roofing and David and Teresa Disiere for their contributions to Shriners Hospital. The event also featured a live and silent auction. – Mark Crawford
