The Film Prize 2024 Kickoff Party + Golden Lens Exhibition was held at the Remington Garage on Jan. 31. Hannah Spence’s “Hidden Below” won People’s Choice. “LVVRS Came to Win” by Emily Hamann won Judge’s Choice and received the grand prize of $1,000. – Paul Savage Jr.

Geaux 4 Kids hosted a Mardi Gras-themed King Cake and Cocktails fundraiser at The Krewe of Centaur Event Center on Thursday, Jan. 18. The event featured sample cakes from nearly a dozen local bakeries. Windstorm performed.
