SandysDance Center hosted its Annual Summer Showcase June 5 at the Dalton Street location in south Shreveport. There were more than 20 performances in ballroom, swing, Latin and country-western dance genres. There were 35-plus performers consisting of professionals and students, as well as teams and social dancers.

Querbes Park Foundation: A new addition to the Broadmoor neighborhood was welcomed May 24. Attendees celebrated the beginning of the Querbes Park Foundation at the all-new Querbes golf course club house on Beverly Place. The restaurant opened afterward.

Le Tour de Jardins: The Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners hosted their annual Le Tour des Jardins fund-raiser May 7 and May 8 at eight different homes in Shreveport. Homes on the tour featured beautiful plants like red peppers, white diamond dust, blue Clematis jackmanii, red angel wing begonia, rosemary and other herbs in pots, camellia, magenta vinca and pansies.

Jaguar F-Pace: On May 24, Jaguar of Shreveport held an after-hours event at the David Toms Academy 265 to herald the new F-Pace, Jaguar’s fi rst sport utility vehicle. The event brought together luminaries from the area to welcome this new level in driving luxury.
