Party guests traveled back in time to the glamour of Old Hollywood at The Robbys red carpet celebration fund-raiser at Robinson Film Center on March 3 in downtown Shreveport. Celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Charlie Chaplin, James Dean and Audrey Hepburn mingled with patrons while Abby Singer’s Bistro served hand-crafted cocktails and delicious eats from Chef Tootie Morrison. Several awards were given out during the party, including Best Dressed, Best Bling and Best Couple. The party shut down Texas Street, and guests danced in the middle of the street to the tunes of The Lou Wells Band. – Mark Crawford

Shreveport Regional Arts Council’s annual Critical Mass 6 art exhibit returned with over 150 entries of visual and literary art on March 2 at artspace in downtown Shreveport. Critical Mass 6 combines critique, creativity and community building through a combination of art, entertainment and literature. The exhibit is on display until May 5. – Mark Crawford
