The Bossier Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce honored 16 women at the ATHENA Awards luncheon Oct. 29 at DiamondJacks Casino. Sandra Haynes and Johnette Magner were named ATHENA recipients during the ceremony.

BBB Torch Awards

The Better Business Bureau hosted its 11th annual Torch Awards Oct. 29 at East Ridge Country Club in Shreveport. The event was emceed by Sonja Bailes, public relations liaison for Bossier Parish Schools. The special guest speaker was Col. Patrick Matthews with Barksdale Air Force Base. Awards were presented in four categories: Integrity, Customer Commitment, Good Neighbor and Not-For-Profit.
