This is first in a series of articles about local businesses that are reaching important milestones, beginning with a brand new business, Joseph Guin Barber at 6108 Line Ave., which opened mid-August. Sharing the 30th anniversary with 318 Forum is Southern Trace. We catch up with Johnson Ramsey and Bryan Aumiller for an up-to-date report on the still-growing neighborhood.
Rounding things out: Eddie's Restaurant, celebrating 40 years, was listed among the "Best Soul Food Restaurants in the South" in the October 2015 Southern Living magazine. Brammer Engineering persevered through the oil bust of the ‘80s only to come out stronger. Mortgage company Aulds Horne & White (now part of Standard Mortgage) has been around more than 60 years and still counts customer service and dependability as their greatest assets.
