The weekend of May 6 and 7, Barksdale Air Force Base opened its gates and welcomed tens of thousands of guests to attend the Defenders of Liberty Airshow. With more than two dozen aerobatic performers, there was something for everyone at this year’s show. The stars of the airshow were the Blue Angels.

Fun and games was the theme of the night at this year’s Celebrity Waiter Dinner benefiting Evergreen Life Services at East Ridge Country Club. The party featured a live auction, games and prizes for playing Evergreen’s version of the popular TV game show, “Let’s Make a Deal.” Live entertainment was provided by The Caravan Band.
