Volunteer Luncheon: The Glen Retirement System recognized nearly 70 volunteers at its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on April 10 at East Ridge Country Club. Carolyn Moore, president of Carolyn Moore Professional Coaching and Consulting, LLC, addressed the crowd, speaking on time management. Shreveport’s oldest park, Betty Virginia Park in the heart of the South Highlands neighborhood, was fl ooded with more than 10,000 people on March 24 for the Second Annual Crawfest. The free festival featured music from 11 a.m to 6 p.m., with bands like Old Whiskey Revival and Benjy Davis Project. There were a dozen food trucks serving all kinds of local eats. PinPoint Local Marketing produces a number of events throughout the year, including Derby Day, which will be hosted on May 5 at Norton Art Gallery. – Mark Crawford
