WK recently completed a major expansion of its Heart & Vascular Institute. Adjacent to the hospital’s North Campus on Greenwood Road, the Institute has expanded by 80,000 square feet and three floors. The space is now home to five new surgical suites, 20 additional critical care beds, and state-of-the art equipment.

The early response 'has been absolutely incredible,' said Jake Wood, the aquarium's director of marketing and public relations. 'We opened on a Wednesday in the middle of the day, and we were packed. We moved into the weekend, and we had lines that were wrapped around the building.'

“I just have to keep thinking that I have my priorities in line, and I’m doing what I love to do,” Baker said.
