Go Red: The annual Go Red for Women Luncheon was hosted by the Northwest Louisiana American Heart Association on Feb. 18 at the Shreveport Convention Center. The luncheon provided activities that were educational and encouraging to influential men and women who could possibly become champions of heart and stroke health and prevention.

Justinian: Guests stepped right up to Grand Bal XXII. “The Greatest Show on Earth” was the theme of the Krewe of Justinian ball held Jan. 22 at the Shreveport Convention Center. The centerpieces were clever, everything from mini circus tents to stuffed animals in cages to elephants. There were also boa hoops with stuffed animals, carnations placed to look like cotton candy, plenty of popcorn and peanuts and animal crackers.

The Bossier Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual gala Jan. 28 at the CenturyLink Center, where top businesses and business people in Bossier City were recognized. The Business Person of the Year was Mike McSwain, the Small Business of the Year was Gumbeaux Productions, and the Business of the Year was Valveworks USA.
